TIRETOWN was an idea that I developed while in college at Cal Arts back in 1989 . I had intended to use it as the basis for my student film in 1990 , but I left Cal Arts to begin my professional career . In 1999, I was approached by the head of marketing at a major corporation that owned numerous Nascar race tracks . He was looking for a short subject video that they could release as a premium to give ticket holders at their race tracks each year . This sizzle trailer was put together with all the development work that I and two trusted colleagues had worked on and was used in the presentation .
